Get to know us

Pattagora is a family, home based business in Mid-Ulster, Northern Ireland.

At Pattagora, we provide the chance to select unique homeware pieces and crafts. Many of these items are ‘one-off’s’ due to being individually crafted.

We source goods globally through established and recognised Fair Trade channels or ethically source items ourselves.

We create our own art and crafts.

Oh, and we love animals 😊

Our roots

As a women owned business, we particularly support women’s enterprises and most items in our shop are made by women artisans from small rural communities.

Our purchases help mothers raise their families, often in difficult circumstances, empowering them, providing a chance for educating their children and protecting girls especially. They also aid in the continuation of traditional skills.

Many craft skills are passed down through generations using traditional tools (so small faults are the norm). Rarely are two pieces identical which adds to the overall charm.

The recognised Fair Trade channels ensure that artisans are paid a fair wage and in the case of factories, have good working conditions.

Our ethics

Sustainable and Eco-friendly

We aim to be eco-friendly.

The global crafts we source have sustainability at their core, utilising items that would otherwise go to landfill e.g. glass, wood, rubber, wire, cloth etc. with wooden products etc. from sustainable sources.

Our own crafts use sustainable wood, upcycled, and recycled materials as far as possible.

We try to reuse packaging, recycled and biodegradable materials wherever and whenever we can.

Fair Trading Policy

We buy only through reputable companies with similar ethics to our own i.e. providing fair wages to artisans, good working conditions in factories etc. across the globe
